Murray Sallaway
On Saturday June 9th 2018 during the 2018 Percival Property Port Macquarie Junior Tour our club inducted Murray Sallaway as our 6th Life Member.
Official guest, Graham Seers (founder of the PMCC, as we know it today), a life member of our club and the recently appointed CEO of Cycling NSW, presented an emotional Murray with his Life Membership.

Murray Sallaway became a founding member of the Port Macquarie Cycle Club in l988.
Early years of the Club.
Murray served on the committee as president and various other positions.
During the early years he participated in club racing and organised Club events. Murray assisted Graham Seers in developing many local juniors. including managing Northern Division teams to State Titles. Murray also assisted Graham Seers with the training of overseas country teams to develop cycling in the Phillipines.
Murray competed at Club, Northern Division, State, National and International road and track races resulting in being awarded over 60 medals.

Representing Australia at Oceania Titles – Vanuatu (Road & Track)
Competitor – World Masters Games 1994 – Road and Track
Qualifying for World Championships at Gran Fondo — Cyprus -Road
Representing the Club at all New South Wales major road races

Murray has been a Club and National Commissaire for 20 years
Assists the Club junior development program.
Murray has assisted the club in a number of major events including:
Two Northern Division Championships
Three State Masters Championships
Four State Junior Championships
Murray continues to be an active member of the committee, assisting with various positions as needed and
continues to promote Port Macquarie Cycling participating in various Gran Fondos.
