Local Rides

Our regular rides vary to meet our training needs, the local road conditions and the weather. We have some favourites and you can check them out and download the route by following these links. We’ve included the Ironman route’s as well in case that’s your thing.  (Links to MapMyRide).

Alternatively, you can join a local bunch ride. These are not club rides and PMCC takes no responsibility for them. Introduce yourself as a newcomer and avoid being on the front unless you know the route. This is done by rolling over when you get to the front.

Mondays – 0550h Recovery ride (approx 40 ks) from the Caltex at Lord and Gordon Streets.

Tuesdays – 0600h Beaches ride (tempo approx 30 ks) from Town Beach Lookout (aka Lions Park).

Wednesday – 0600h Social ride from S/E corner of Gordon Street and Ocean

Thursday – 0500h Bago ride (hard hilly ride) from 5 Star Centre S/W corner of Gordon and Ocean.

Saturday and Sunday 0600h from Peloton Cafe – endurance ride 80-120ks.

There are many other group rides in Port, but these are the most consistent.

Caffeine & Local Bike Shops: After a morning ride we usually head to one of the local coffee shops, each conveniently located near a Local Bike Shop (LBS).
